this is a little how i felt, tired and grumpy by the time we got to sugarhouse park. kennan+ no sleep = grumy town. after a nap we did have a lot of fun though with the gregory's and the kaliens. i love this tradition of going to sugarhouse park for a picnic and waiting for fireworks.

the 4th of july (pt. 2)
minie is by far and above the best thing that has ever happened to the 4th of july. look how cute she is! the only problem is she cramps our carpooling style, i guess we'll have to get a minivan.
jude finally go to meet his "mimee" that we have been talking about for the past 9 months. he was really sweet with her and kept saying "baby" and "mimee". he has been a little confused because brooke and i are always talking about minie and sometimes thought that brooke was "mimee". i think being pregnant is a little hard for a toddler.the 4th of july (pt. 1)
i am sure i have mentioned that i happen to love the 4th of july, i know not most people do. anyway, there are a few traditions that have been a part of my 4th for a long time. the one i think of most is going to the hot air balloons in provo. i have been many of times but i have also slept in many of times, because you have to leave at like 5:30 am. we had bigger plans this 4th to have both the gregory's and my family get together and do balloons and then have a big breakfast at my mom's house but minie came and ruined everything! so we just went with the greg's and then had breakfast at joanna's. i am so proud of myself for getting up seeing as i was at the hospital with my sweet minie until 3 am.Tuesday, July 3, 2007

Swimming Lessons
val and i have enrolled our boys in swimming lessons at alta canyon this summer. it has been a pretty interesting experience. lets just say that at 11:00 in the morning its not quite hot enough for you to not care how cold the water is to get it. its dang cold in the pool but we survive anyway. jude stays in the pool and has a pretty good time. jack on the other hand hates the pool! valerie watches everyone else swim and tries to coax jack into the water the whole time.i didn't expect jude to come out of these lessons doing the butterfly stroke but the classes are pretty weak and i doubt he will learn anything in this class that i haven't already taught him. its fun regardless and its so cute to see jack and jude playing after the lessons.

Italian Village and Smores
If the Gregory's aren't home around meal time there are three places you will probably find them:
1. Italian Village 2. La Puente 3. Rock Creek Pizza
The good news is I love all of them with the exception of just "liking" La Puente. It's great to be with the Gregory's and its even greater to eat! Today we were at Italian Village in Holladay, go there for the best tossed salad and pizza benders in the world!

Kennecott Copper Mine
for the longest time i have wanted to go visit the kennecott copper mine in bingham canyon. i have always seen it on the fartherst west side of salt lake county and been intrigued. turns out i was interested for reason, its amazing. brooke and dustin went out there last summer as a joke and told us how cool it actually was. they have been telling us for a while that we needed to take jude out there to see the tractors. trevan didn't really want to go but i think he was glad he did. who knew that a copper mine could be so cool?p.s. did you know the 2 man made things you can see from space are the great wall of china and kennecott?

i had to post the pictures. jude threw the biggest tantrum when we didn't buy him a tractor (they were WAYYYYYY over priced). he was crying so hard he was blowing bubbles out of his nose and would not get in his car seat. so i dug threw my purse and found a tractor and asked jude if he wanted mommie to buy him a tractor, sobbing he answered "essssss". so i went back into the gift shop with tractor in hand asked the clerk for a bag and walked back out to car and handed jude the bag. needless to say he was happy the rest of the drive home. i felt redeemed in my skills as a mother.
