gywn and jude will play.

because of gil's fall from the window and resulting life flight to salt lake, jude got to have some quality time with his favorite girl gwyn (minie need not feel left out because she is more like a appendage to jude than a cousin). i had gwyn for about 6 hours on thursday and there where high and lows, mostly because jude is still heavily reliant upon a nap and didn't get one that day equalling some major breakdowns/violence. all and all these 2 got along famously and grets loved having a 2nd mother in gwyn. i am however grateful that i don't deal with two 3 year olds day in and day out. (good luck to you julie in a few years!)

style vs. function

i found out today that greta needs a little support.....

 

and by support i mean foot support. 

julie (greta's physical therapist) told me today that because greta has low tone pronation in her feet that it may also be a factor into her lack of gross motor skills (i.e. standing). so, in order for us to get our girl to bare some weight on her legs we need to get her foot in the right position. meaning pretsie needs some orthodics. i was excited, really anything to help her gain strength i am d-o-w-n for.... and then a slight problem arouse in my head, the shoes that come with orthodics..... sigh. i know grets is no piper but i do like her to look gorge 24/7, always a bow in hair and coordinating shoes/socks. i guess i am being punished for being vain because....

i know, i know its all going to work out in the end and that style is not that big of a deal, blah blah blah. funny that greta having to wear orthodics was easier for me to swallow than her having to wear those ghastly shoes. my priorities are totally in line!  its just a good things she won't have to wear them all the time.

(truth be told both jude and i should both be wearing some orthodics ourselves because of our extreme flat feet but we (i) don't wear them for the previously  mentioned reasons. infact, i think i have a pair lying around somewhere at my moms house that cost her a pretty penny......)

(except for when i am really crazy and verbally throw up all over him. we williams have words like daggers. sorry baby...)

snow day + valentines

winter.... i am so over it. i wonder year after year why we live in utah from about january 15 - march 15. i am depressed, in a funk, and over all pretty grumpy and i am SURE that the season is is the reason. that being said when brooke called to tell us what our plans were for the day and said a snow day at nannie's mingled with a little valentining, we were in. seeing as its february and we had yet to bust out jude's snow attire.

as some of you may have heard brooke and i are inseparable, really jude thinks brooke and minie (and poppy) are just an extension of us. truth be told, they kind of are and i love

 it. who doesn't want their sister to honestly and truly be thier bestie? its fantastic.

the day was great minus the fact that prets will sleep no where but her own crib. the day had to be cut short and we didn't get to make any sugar cookies. we did however manage some snow time and some homemade valentines that will be delivered today. brooke and i had a gay old time in the snow, please refer to here for more information. we are both amazing and i am gorge. thanks to nannie for watching the babies while we frolicked. that nannie, shes the best, mostly because she let me wear her cherished 2002 olympic volunteer coat.

chuck e. cheese (revisited)

after our last visit to chuck e. cheese i was hoping i wouldn't have to go again for at least 6 months. i know its where a kid can be a kid but frankly i don't want any of my kids to be a kid there. the games are 25 cents of filth and are mostly broken to boot! and lets not even talk about the food. i shudder to think about it. 

however, when jude's beautiful brazilian ladies called and invited us we knew where we had to be. gabi loves jude and jude loves gabi, they are bound to be bff's. jude has a harem of women at his feet (gabi, minie, greta, bella, and poppy) and is the king to all of them and sometimes its a lot for him to live up to. its high time this clan had some more boys and took the pressure off of jude. although, it chuck e. cheese is nasty we did wind up having a great time AND to top it all off brad treated (really, he is the best brother there is, maybe person...). we decided we don't hang out with the williams family nearly enough!
