2 of my besties....

...were born this day.

my beautiful older sister robyn turns 30 today! robyn has been one of the best surprises of my adult life. the first 18ish years were a little touch and go for us. she wanted to mother me and boss me and i wouldn't hear of it. i was crazy and she was dramatic, not the best combination. it wasn't until we both reached out adulthood that we realized how much we loved and couldn't live without each other. she is the go to for everything in my life, she is practically a doctor. her children are the 4 one's i didn't get to bear myself, i ADORE them. she is a terrific mother and a friend you should all have. however, don't cross someone she loves! she is loyal to a tee and will defend someone to her death. happy birthday sister bear and sorry i couldn't make it to the party, i hate i couldn't be there to laugh with you and commentate on all the amazing things. i love you.

this lovely lady is simply the best and she turns 50 today. terri is literally one of my best friends. i call her almost as much as i call my own mom and my family always says i am more gregory than williams. it may be true and mostly because of her. i would never call her an inlaw, she is just terni. she is the kindest person anyone has ever met. she is so selfless and she never puts herself first, even though she should sometimes. the best part is that she is silly too! we giggle way more than we should. she loves her grandkids with everything she is and is always there for anything we need. she is a wonderful mother to her 5 kids (and any other kids that come around). really, you won't meet someone as sweet and real as her. happy birthday to you, yaya!

how happy was i that lagoon could happen this summer? i couldn't go last year because of the babies in my belly (miscarriage & grets) but i was so in this year. i love lagoon. it is totally gumby and over priced but oh so much fun.

lagoon brings back so many memories from my childhood. my favorite being when i went with rebecca the summer before my 7th grade year. i guess that the grunge look was really in and i was donning my favorite hair do of the time (earlobe length and straight down the middle) and looked just like a boy. rebecca and i were walking around thinking we were HOT stuff and some girl came up to us and asked if i had a girlfriend. cute rebecca tried to tell me they were talking to her but her long thick blonde hair surely made her more girlie even if we were wearing the same grunge unisex look..... i was mortified but still laugh about to this day. i wish i had a scanner to document such things, you would all be jealous.

ANYWAY, lagoon did not disappoint. jude LOVED it and is still talking about it a week later. he keeps singing "puff the magic dragon" in reference to his favorite ride there, puff. we went with the gregory's, trevan's uncle scott and cousin chelsie. so much fun. we are totally going back for frightmares in october (no line butting this time dustin).

p.s. totally saw some person i know from a blog at lagoon. actually, i don't know her at all and it was totally awkward because i recognized her and so did trevan. i need a life.

OUR ANNIVERSARY

since we celebrated our anniversary in midway the weekend before we thought we could spend the actual day with our kids. we went to a bike store for trev and then hit up one of our fave restaurants for dinner. sometimes it's questionable whether or not we really do love jude. he may not be the best dining companion!

4 years ago today...

...i got to marry my best friend. we had a fantastic, romantic weekend a few days ago up in midway/park city celebrating our 4 years together as husband and wife. one day when i have a scanner i will post photos of the actual day, until then you will have to live with this picture of us when we were dating. oooh ahhh isn't he cute? and no we never had sleep overs pre-marriage :) .

so after months of dreading potty training i finally did it. jude has done amazing. my sister robyn swears by this method and since her word is gospel to me, i gave it a go. really, i cannot believe that it works. jude is potty trained and its a miracle. it took all day on thursday and it was just jude and me working on the toileting all day. greta went to yaya's so jude could have my undivided attention. he had 4 accidents the first day and 7 successes and by day 2 (yesterday) he had NO accidents! he can succesfully go to the bathroom, drop trou', hop on the potty, and do his business. he amazes me. we are still working on #2 but other than that he is a total big boy! he even stays dry through nap time and bed time, its the end of an era for jude and i am sad for a minute and then i remember i don't have to change any more man poops! hells yeah!

listening to music really helped to relax my little man so he could get down to business
