Mommie Day with The Williams

do i love my mom? yes i do! every year i am more and more grateful to the woman who gave me life. she is an incredible woman and an even better mother. she is beautiful inside and out. everyone that knows (what she is commonly know as) "nannie" adores her. i have never been able to express in words what she is to me. i love her and it is great to celebrate her on any occasion.

going to the cemetery

the greg's decided that they would visit rog's mother's grave and bring her a lily for mother's day and asked if we wanted to join them. we happily accepted but only after we got some yard work done (sigh). it was a fun saturday night and there were many laughs including me spilling a diet coke all over myself on the drive home (again). i love my in-laws!

we will rise to the east together!

18 months = 1.5 years

well look who it is!!!!! mr. judamakins is 18 months old. at his checkup he was diagnosed with being perfect, its a very rare condition but somehow we will cope. just kidding. he was just jude, 25 lbs and one huge head. his height and weight are in the 50th percentile (for all you parents out there) and his cranium was in the 95th. we know head size has nothing to do with intellect but it may have something to do with us being great looking, excellent parents. how lucky is jude? we love jude and in all honesty he is up to par with all the things that a 18 mo. old should be doing. he is normal and thats all i want, that and to be happy.

p.s. we do not beat our child

Round 5: Jude vs. Pulse Dye Laser

poor peanut had no idea what was coming. he was so happy when we woke him up. its not often that brookie and nannie are there first thing in the morning. trevan could not come because he had taken 2 sick days last week when he was ill. so nannie came and brooke thought it would be interesting to see what happens too, so she came as well. on the drive to the hospital jude was happy and jibber-jabbering in his own language the whole way. i think he thought we were doing something fun.

once we got to the hospital and were in the waiting room he was walking around saying "hi!" to everyone. then the nurses brought him back to the recovery room he got a little shy. he sat in my lap and played with the toys the nurses brought him and got excited that they had a ball. he kept throwing it to everyone, including the anesthesiologist and Dr. Vanderhooft. everyone couldn't believe how happy and big he was. when they first started seeing him he was 2 months old, just a infant with huge cheeks. i got to carry him into the operating room again this time and it was hard to see him go under GA, to watch your child go limp and lifeless is not fun. they gave him morphine again during the procedure and when he woke up he was just groggy and tired. he didn't scream like he usually does but just whimpered and said "owie".

after the hospital we went to breakfast because jude hadn't eaten but he was SO tired. we got home around noon and he slept until 5pm. he was happy when he woke up but you could tell he was still in a little pain. i took him into the bathroom to get something and he saw himself in the mirror and started crying and staring at himself in the mirror. he kept saying "owie" and trying to wipe his bruising off his chin. it made me cry, my poor baby. he kept looking at me like "take this off of me". if we would talk about it the rest of the night he would touch it and fuss. we made dinner and then the gregory's came over and played with jude. that made his day and he went to bed a happy boy.
