Jude and Hims Balls

Jude loves balls. I don't need to say much else because that sums up his obsession with any sort of ball. He has every type of ball (football, golf ball, basket ball, baseball, etc.) and each get equal play time. We can't go to any store without a tantrum because we can't buy every ball. Sometimes the grocery store is even hard because there are so many things SHAPED like balls.

He may not be able to walk yet but he sure can talk. He words include "Ball" (of course), "Whos That?", "Whats That", "Cheese", "Hi", "Hello", "Bye Bye", "Mama", "Dada", "Nana", "Ya", "Dog", and all sorts of other gibberish that has yet to be translated.

Twas The Night Before Christmas

I had to work Christmas Eve :< and missed out on Santa Claus!! It's great, every year Santa comes to Trevan's grandma's house and brings the kids Pre-Christmas gifts. This was Jude's second visit with Santa but this year he was much more attentive. We spent the evening there at Trevan's grandma's and then went down to my parents to open Christmas jammies and spend the night.

The Progressive Dinner 2006

The Williams family Progressive Dinner Christmas party has been a part of my life since I can remember. It is one of my most fond memories of childhood and will forever be a part of our Christmas' to come. It's a typical "progressive dinner" where you have a different course of a meal at different houses through out the night. At each house after the food there is some sort of program whether it be The Queens Story Teller, a Nativity Scene, a musical number, or gift giving. Every year it ranges from 5 houses to 3 houses, depending on who wants to host and go to all the work.

This year we started at my Grandma Johnnie Belle's with appetizers and gift giving, then it is was on to my Aunt Jessica's (aka Eileen) where we had salad and the best lasagna and then The Queen's Story Teller, and we ended at my Mom's house with desert and the oh so wonderful Nativity Scene. All in all there were probably 50 people there, it was so fun to see my cousins that live out of state and to see their cute children. Every year more and more people attend so if you want to come next year, please do!

Kashli and Carlee Brown

My fabulous Uncle Lee annually preforms as the Queen's Story Teller and always comes in costume, with music and lights for show. This year he wrote a touching story called "The Missing Angel". Lee is so talented and I am SO SO SO glad to call him mine!

Jude was a Shepherd this year and is a great stage actor. He may have a career in acting, last year he was even better as Baby Jesus.

Our House.....in the middle of the street

We finally have a home of our own!!!!! After a year of looking for the right house we found ours in Sandy, Utah. Trevan and I loved the house right when we saw it because it was totally our style. The house was built in 1962 and has never been updated, nothing! We know its going to be a lot of work but we are so excited to make this baby over and make it ours. We got a screaming deal on the house and hope to make some money on it when we sell it in a few years. We are just waiting for our home equity loan to go through and we can start demolishing the kitchen!

It's so fun to have a house. We can actually have people over at our house. I love that Jude has a place to explore and that is just what he does. We can't let him out of our sight because he is gone and into something new every second. He thinks the toilet is a community swimming pool, not so much fun for Mom. I will post better pictures of what our house looks like when the snow melts and I have more energy. We are still unpacking and getting settled in. Merry Christmas Trevan and Kennan!

Bubby's Goin' On a Mission

Trevan's little brother Brennan got his mission call and is going to Los Angeles, California. He will be speaking Spanish and will leave February 28th 2007. Brennan was a "little" disappointed/scared that he was going to be speaking Spanish and had a little moment. We love Brennan and are SO sad that he is going to be leaving us but very proud. I think he will miss Jude the most though, he is the best uncle!

Recovering With The Utah Jazz??

We went to the mall today to pick up my paycheck and grab a bite to eat at the food court and who do we see but 3 stars of the Utah Jazz eating dinner too. Trevan didn't think I would do it but I did, I asked to get their picture with Jude since the Gregory family (and Brad) loves the Jazz. The players were all so nice and cute with Jude and Deron Williams even related a story to me about someone he knew with a PWS. Freak, these guys are my age or younger and are millionaires and famous. Sometimes I think we forget that they are just people like you and me.

Round Three: Jude vs. Pulse Dye Laser

So here we are again. Jude went in for his 3rd laser treatment for his Port Wine Stain. He did really well and is recovering in usual form, so happy.

This time the doctor went deeper by increasing the frequency of the laser. I also got to take Jude into the Operating Room and watch him go under general anesthesia. Usually I hand him to a nurse and they take him in. I was grateful that I could go in but it was REALLY hard seeing him go under. He fought it so hard and kept looking at me to help him and then he just was out but his eyes were still cracked looking at me. I nearly broke out into tears and grabbed him from the operating table but the nurse rushed me out as soon he was out so they could get started. Its always really hard for him once he wakes up and he sobs the whole time he is in recovery. The funny thing is that the second we walk out of the room he stops and is fine. The nurse kept asking us if we thought he was in pain or if he was just mad, we knew he was just mad, irate! He was fine the rest of the day, a little groggy but always the happy Jude!

Thanksgiving 2006

We had our usual feast at my Mom's house this year. My Mother is amazing and prepares dinner (with a little help) for 32 people and it the hostess with the mostess like its nobodies business. Dinner was delicious and we all gained 20 lbs. After dinner we went to the Gregory's to have dessert with them. I am told I missed the best part which was the coloring contest my fabulous Uncle Lee put on with an Indian Princess. I love being around family both mine and Trevan's.
