Baseball Season

there are 2 things in the world that i think trevan may love more than me:

1. baseball
2. spending time with his dad and brothers

how convenient for him that this year he can do both. trevan is helping his dad rog coach landons baseball team, the dodgers. when i heard the position was available i told rog that trevan HAD to do it. its been fun to see trevan help landon's team and be the 3rd base and pitching coach. its been even more fun to watch jude be another assistant coach or maybe the mascot. he thinks he is so old. i try to go to every game and terri, mo, and i just sit on the grass eat food and laugh. jude wanders in between the girls and the guys and points and yells during the game.

its been fun to see landon and trevan really bond since cam and brennan left. who cares that there is a 14 year difference between them? most of the time the act the same age. trevan loves baseball and thats pretty much all we do and watch all the time. it used to bug me but i guess you can say it grows on you. plus, i like to watch cute baseball players and actually know who people are.

Iron Chef Jude

oh i love my son. for the past few weeks whenever i cook dinner (not often enough) jude gets really upset because he wants to cook too. he just wanders around aimlessly pulling pots and pans out and dumping the utensil drawer trying to help. so after dinner i decided i would make some dessert for jude and hims sick dad. so rice krispy treats it was. jude loved helping and was all smiles the whole time. you will notice in the pictures that he looks upset or angry but he is not. that is him smiling and showing you his teeth, yet again. if being a janitor other type of maintenance worker doesn't work out maybe one day he will be a chef, an Iron Chef.

moey goes to prom

i cannot believe it, morgan is old enough to go to prom. when i met morgan 5 years ago she was the cutest little 11 year old girl. i remember trevan and i taking her and landon bowling (landon was 6) and thinking that they were so young, just babies really. i guess time flies by but she is by far and above the coolest girl out there. although she is an only girl surrounded by 4 brothers she is very feminine and girlie but at the same time as cool and athletic as any of the boys. yes, she is a bit spoiled but she deserves to be because she is so nice! everyone loves mighty mo!

it was so fun to get her ready for prom. i even got to go dress shopping with her and terri! when it came to hair and makeup i knew i had to be involved. i called upon my trusty sidekick brooke and we got to work. it was so fun to get her all dolled up and she looked so beautiful. earlier in the week we had a test run and terri let me put highlights in her hair. GREAT NEWS, i haven't lost my skills and the color is so so pretty. its suiting for such a beautiful girl!

tubby time @ grammie's

does jude love tubby time? yes, hims does! i know, most babies/kids love them but jude sure seems to enjoy bath time a heck of a lot. he throws a tantrum when he has to get out by laying down in the tub and kicking and screaming until all the water is out of the tub. sometimes he is good and just fusses about getting out but most of the time he is pretty upset. both my mom and trevan's mom love to give him baths. while at grammie's lately landon has been getting in wearing boxers with him. this is pure heaven for jude because not only is it one of his favorite past times he gets to be with his favorite person, yanyan (aka landon). jude thinks yanyan is the cats pajamas!

nannie and thomas

ummm...... remember that post i made a few days ago "a SUPER HERO is born"? well apparently my mother wasn't paying enough attention when she read that spot about me not liking character apparel during the day. look at what she did.......
we were at kohls looking for a shower curtain for brooke and we decided to walk through the baby department. lo and behold jude saw some choo choo jammies that he liked. i showed them to him and said "ask nannie" jokingly and he did, and she of course said yes. i thought he would be happy but no, that was not good enough..... he had to put them on. that was not going to happen on my watch, no character clothes during the day, especially jammies! my mom could not resist, after all she is nannie! she put the one pair on and she and brooke were getting there laughs on because i was so set on him not wearing them. BUT to top the whole thing off, jude threw a fit when he saw there was more than met the eye, there was another pair in the set. so yes, nannie let him wear all 4 pieces. she was laughing so hard she was crying (if you can't tell in the picture). this was at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and he wore them until the morning and heaven forbid you try to take one of the shirts off. WHAT HAVE I CREATED? look how happy is! how can i resist?

liberty park

jude and i went to liberty park with my new best friends valerie and aubrey and their kids. it was so much fun. when i was growing up and in high school liberty park was ghetto but in the past few years they have totally revamped. the playground is amazing for both toddlers and big kids. there is a lake with ducks and paddle boats. there are tennis courts, jogging trails, and tons of roaming space. the best part is this 7 canyons river/waterfall thing that you can play in. although it was only like 70 degrees it didn't stop the kiddies from getting in, and that meant stripping down to diapers for most of them.

a SUPER HERO is born

finally jude fits into superhero pajamas and yes those hideous things on his feet are spongebob crocs, he LOVES them! i am a huge fan of superhero jammies yet i am totally against wearing superhero/character clothing as everyday wear. i hope i never cave into peer pressure and let my children wear the oh so dreaded character clothing during the day. he can wear them to bed as much as he wants, just not during the day.

egg chalk

the easter bunny brought mr. judakins some sidewalk chalk and it couldn't have been a better match. jude loves to draw, his favorite medium is walls or closet doors. he also enjoys a long session with a doodle-pro. i think we have an artist on our hands or a terrorist, either way i am in love. so we now have something else to throw a tantrum over, not sidewalk drawing long enough.

i love that little peanut!

Abeyham Uncle Brad

oh how i love my sister's kids. i was really concerned when jude born that i would not love him as much as i loved tucker and abe. i was also nervous that he would take the place of these boys that i love so much. alas, jude was born and i love him with everything that i am but i still loved tuck and abe just as much. what a relief!!!

so my sweet abey fatman turned 6 and although i wasn't there to celebrate like have been pretty much his whole life. i was celebrating in my heart.

I LOVE YOU ABE!

a PasSoVEr fEaSt

jude opening an early easter gift

my mom has done passover for our family off and on for the past 10 or so years. its a really neat experience and so goes ALL out for it. she serves a "somewhat" traditional jewish passover meal and tells us the story and tradition of passover. i have to admit that i am not the biggest fan of passover because i am a PICKY eater but every year my mom waivers more and more from the traditional menu to appease us picky eaters. all in all its a pretty cool tradition.
trevan enjoying the lamb

OK jude! we cannot let him out of our sight. while everyone was eating jude wandered off to the pantry found some cereal and decided to dump it. i love my little terror!
