Halloween 2006

Jude was Squirt the Sea Turtle from Finding Nemo.
with Uncle Lando the Nerd

We had our 2nd Annual Murder Dinner Party this year. Since we are too old to go trick or treating but still love dressing up we do these parties. This years theme was "The Icicle Twist" and was set at a ski resort in 1984. I was a Doctor, Trevan was a Body-Builder, Brooke was a Flight Attendent, Dustin was a Ski Shop Owner, Paige was an Heiress, Brad was a Detective, Nannie was a Party Girl, and my Dad was the Head of the Security Department. Of course my Mom goes above and beyond the call of duty and prepares a delictable meal with a course for ever chapter of the murder. We are already looking forward to next years event.

Lets Carve a Pumpkin

Jude was pretty excited to carve a pumpkin but we had to wait until he was done with his favorite thing (Swiffering the floor) before we could get started. He didn't like it too much to be honest he thought the insides were NASTY. We carved his pumpkin to look like him, two giant teeth up top about 5 miles apart. I LOVE JUDE!

Happy Birthday To Me

Well it happened, I turned 24. I am not quite sure how I feel about being 24 except that being 23 was great, I became a Mother. For my birthday we went to the University of Utah game to see Paige with Nannie and my Dad and that night we went to one of my favorite places Benihana. It was really fun and it was nice to have all of my favorite people there too!

a lunch date with brookie

i love brooke. she is a wonderful sister and a silly best friend. jude quite likes her too. while nannie and i got our hair "did" brooke offered to babysit jude and she totally showed me up. she may be a better mother than me, she actually did something with him like take him to the park. (i tend to just hang out with my man and nap when he does. i know, i'm lazy.) when the lord finally decides to bless my sweet brooke with children i am sure she will show us all up with her mothering skills.

an autumn date

One of the bad things about me working is that we rarely go out and do anything anymore. So this weekend I had friday off and we were ready to do something as a family. Trevan used to ride tracks everyday to school when he was in college and I remember taking my 1st kids (Tucker and Abe) on tracks numerous times. So it was high time Jude did it too. We rode on them to the Gateway downtown and ate dinner there and just walked around. It was good to get out together and enjoy a beautiful fall night. Plus no one can resist the free entertainment that you get from the amazing bums that ride tracks regularly. I love autumn!

Jude's 1st Haircut

After saying that I would not cut Jude's hair until after his first birthday I am ashamed to admit I caved in and did a month early. I was sick of people telling me that he had a nice mullet so I just trimmed the back and the sides. It was a little sad because he now looks older. I will miss his locks of love in the back!

Gabriella Raven Williams

Gabriella Raven Williams was born September 29th, 2006 to my sweet brother Brad and his wife Vanessa. She weighed in at a WHOPPING 5.6 lbs and was 17 inches long. SHE IS BEAUTIFUL! Vanessa did really well and only pushed for 10 minutes. Gabi is such a well behaved baby that she even came on her due date!!!

Gabi wasn't eating very well and didn't have a poopie diaper after she was born and the Doctors became concerned. They thought she may have an infection in the bowels or that she had some sort of bowel obstruction. They took her immediately up to Primary Childrens Hospital NICU where a Surgeon ran some tests and decided that he needed to operate the next day. They went in with 2 scopes on her sides and then made an incision above her umbilical cord and found that she had descended bowels. I am not completely sure what it is or what the Doctor did but basically they reconfigured her stomach so she would be able to, for lack of better words, poop.

She is doing better and has had only some minor set backs. Brad and Vanessa are handling this set back as well as imagined but the the Doctors are pretty sure that Gabi will be fine and have no complications for the rest of her life. We all have been able to scrub up and visit her in the NICU. She is so pretty and we are just excited for her to come home. Please keep them in your prayers.
