I Hope They Don't Call Jude on a Mission........ just kidding

Elder Brennan Adams Gregory
California Los Angeles Spanish Speaking Mission

lets just say i don't know how the gregory's are doing it. they have 2 missionaries out now. we are all very sad because we will miss Bren. we were depressed when Cammy left and now we have to cope with Brennan being gone too. i feel bad for trevan because his 2 best friends are not around to laugh with him. i feel even worse for terri and rog..... i can't imagine not seeing sir jude for 2 years. but we will get along and i know that these boys are doing the best possible thing.

what will i miss????

fyi...... my camera is broken and i am so mad. the other day while taking a picture of jude in the pillows at costco i went to turn of my camera and the lens wouldn't go in and it started making really scary noises. so we took it to best buy where rog purchased it for us and it is in the process of being repaired or replaced. i am very depressed for i don't know what i will miss documenting. i always have my camera in my purse, ready to snap a picture of ANYTHING and now i feel naked.

SOOOOOOOOOO until i get my camera back in a few days or weeks (best buy doesn't seem to think that hurrying is appropriate) i will not be blogging. i'm sure y'all will be okay but i won't. i have already missed an outing to the aquarium with my friends, morgan's 16th birthday, and possibly brennan's farewell.

i am sad.

lets paint something together

we started out bright and early saturday morning with one goal in mind - to get something done on our house. it has been 2 months (and counting) since we moved in and we haven't done anything to fix up our fixer upper. it may have something to do with the fact that we are so poor but oh well. paint is relatively cheap and we finally got new exterior doors so we did it, we actually worked on our house. don't mind that we didn't finish until late monday night :)

purple? i know. but it really does look good.

hair do hair do hair do's

i don't exactly know why i feel it necessary to change my hair so often. i just get bored alright!!!! anyway, so now i am a somewhat blonde, not platinum. jude doesn't quite know what to think. however, i do look like i belong to my mom and sisters now.

p.s. yes, jude does need a hair cut

Her?????

on valentines day we also got to find what kind of cousin jude will be receiving from brooke and dustin. we had a sweetheart baby party at the jacksons and what do you know? they are having a girl. i was a little upset for a few reasons (she broke tradition, jude will not have a partner in crime, and i like boys) but got over it quick. they will have the most adorable little girl and i will love her SOOOOOOOO much. i couldn't help going around saying "her?" all night though.

i also was in the middle of a hair appointment when i realized i was going to be late. so this is my hair nice and gold.

my little peanut

rubba dubba dubba rubba dubba dubba in the tub! (two days post surgery)

jude can you please help us choose our paint?

jude's new obsession is shoes. he will get all of his shoes out and try to put them on himself or me. he cries when i take them off or try to match a pair together. we had a bit of a tantrum yesterday when i had to take off his sunday shoes and dog soft shoes to put on his puma's that matched his outfit. he let me know how mean i was by throwing himself onto the floor and banging his head only to find his new van's slip-ons to admire and play with. needless to say that tantrum only lasted a minute or two.

Round Four: Jude vs. Pulse Dye Laser

Here we go again. Jude had his 4th laser treatment today and is doing well. I have to say that these treatments are getting less and less stressful but they sure don't break your heart any less. He is the sweetest boy ever. I don't know may babies that are as resilient as our Jude, then again not too many kids have laser surgery every 3 months either. Although he woke up from the general anesthesia saying "ouch" and cried a little bit he just carries on like nothing really happened. I know the morphine may help a bit, maybe even a lot, but he is so tough. I know what they do hurts, the nurses say that grown men cry when it happens, and that they have heard teenage kids crying when they are just doing the "test spots" saying, "I'm on fire! They are burning me!" but Jude is so strong. The nurses love Jude and always tell us when we leave how remarkably good he is acting. He whimpers every so often and is a little sad, you can tell it hurts but like I said he just is Jude, so happy. I don't know how he does it but he is officially my hero.

I hope that one day when he is older he will be appreciative of what we are doing for him. I hope that these laser treatments do help but its all a game of hope, you never know. I don't know what we would do without or support system. Trevan was not going to be able to come because of training at his new job but he did. Still, of course my Mom and Rog were there to support us (Terri had to work). I love our family and the role that they play in Jude's life. I think the staff at hospital think its funny that Jude has an entourage but he is so loved and believe me, he knows it!

Silly Judakins

We were starving after the surgery and so was Jude. He can't eat for 12 hours before the surgery and so we decided that since we are over being "modest" about Jude appearance we ate lunch at one of our favorites, The Pub. If you are ever in SLC you have to go there and get the french onion soup , mmmmmm. Paige and Nate met us as well.

Meet Mark

This is Mark and I love him. Mark is my cousin and probably should have been our brother. He and his older brother Chris have been a part of our lives FOREVER. Chris is my exact age (he's older by a month) and Markly is just 11 months younger than Chris. So from Preschool to high school we were always together. Brooke and Mark have a closer relationship than we do, they may actually be the male/female version of each other. Now don't get me wrong, I love Chris too and we have more memories together but Mark is just always around. He makes me laugh so hard and everyone has a good time with Mark. Not to mention he literally saved my life when I was 5 and locked in my Dad's trunk, that and his tummy don't lie.

The problem is, these two boys are still single!!!! They need to get married and give my Aunt Eileen grandbabies and everyone knows it. We try to set mark up with anyone we know who is single (cousins, dogs, babies, recently divorced women, and even senior citizens) but it never works out.

Either one of these fine gentlemen would make wonderful husbands so if anyone is interested please let me know. PLUS THEY ARE GOOD LOOKING!!!! I can give you dating or medical history, stats, genealogy, and even embarrassing childhood stories (ex. diarrhea at school).

Dust-bin

I don't know how many of you out there know what a unique situation we have in our family. My little sister Brooke married Trevan's best friend Dustin. That's right best friends married sisters. I have known Dustin just as long as I have known Trevan & Trevan and Dustin have been BFF's since high school. I love Dustin and he is a great friend to my husband and an even better husband to my sister. So Happy 26th Redman!

Back when we first met each other Dustin was interested in Brooke (and lets be honest, Paige too). He always was asking us to "hook" him up. We tried but Brooke was a junior in high school and a hot commodity at that point and was not interested. She would go out with him every once and a while because he would spoil her rotten and then she would go running back to her boyfriend. This went on for about 3 years when all of the sudden magic happened, Brooke realized what she was missing out on. Yadda yadda yadda..... they got married and it has been so fun having them in our life. We hang out as a group probably 2-3 times a week and Brooke and I hang out more like every day! I can't wait until they have their baby and start their family because there are many joint vacations, dinners, and good times ahead.

... and Dustin might be Syndrome from The Incredibles as well!
