Round Three: Jude vs. Pulse Dye Laser

So here we are again. Jude went in for his 3rd laser treatment for his Port Wine Stain. He did really well and is recovering in usual form, so happy.

This time the doctor went deeper by increasing the frequency of the laser. I also got to take Jude into the Operating Room and watch him go under general anesthesia. Usually I hand him to a nurse and they take him in. I was grateful that I could go in but it was REALLY hard seeing him go under. He fought it so hard and kept looking at me to help him and then he just was out but his eyes were still cracked looking at me. I nearly broke out into tears and grabbed him from the operating table but the nurse rushed me out as soon he was out so they could get started. Its always really hard for him once he wakes up and he sobs the whole time he is in recovery. The funny thing is that the second we walk out of the room he stops and is fine. The nurse kept asking us if we thought he was in pain or if he was just mad, we knew he was just mad, irate! He was fine the rest of the day, a little groggy but always the happy Jude!

Thanksgiving 2006

We had our usual feast at my Mom's house this year. My Mother is amazing and prepares dinner (with a little help) for 32 people and it the hostess with the mostess like its nobodies business. Dinner was delicious and we all gained 20 lbs. After dinner we went to the Gregory's to have dessert with them. I am told I missed the best part which was the coloring contest my fabulous Uncle Lee put on with an Indian Princess. I love being around family both mine and Trevan's.

My Sister Wives

Sometimes we are confused for being polygamists because we are Mormons and I didn't see why. Now I do. It appears I have two sister wives. Robyn and Brooke came up stairs on Thanksgiving Eve and were ready to help prepare dinner. They didn't say much but were sweet spirited and dressed in floor length dresses (of course) and there long hair was done up appropriately. Sisterly love goes a long way, especially when you share a husband.

Jude and Gabi

We went and visited Vanessa and Gabi and Jude just wanted to touch and kiss her. I think its so funny that he thinks he is so big now. Gabi is doing well and is growing (sort of, she is still tiny). I think that Jude and her will be great friends.

Jude's 1st Birthday

I don't know how it happened but it did, Jude turned one. We started out the day with opening his presents from Mommy and Daddy and then had a pancake breakfast. Later in the day we had a huge party at Nannie's with everyone that Jude loves. He liked being the center of attention and loved getting new toys. He was the sweetest birthday boy ever! Even though Jude didn't quite understand the meaning of his birthday he sure did enjoy whatever it.

Real Pete

Brennan (Trevan's brother) plays on an indoor soccer team called Real (ree-all) Pete. Trevan and Jude have been to a couple of his games while I am at work and for the last one Terri made Jude his very own team shirt, making him the official team mascot.

GO REAL PETE!
