bear flats.........

for as long as i have known dustin i have know about the bear lake or wits end if you will. the jackson (actually scharr) family have a cabin up at bear lake. (my dad calls it bear flats) its been in their family for generations and its pretty much 2 trailers hooked together with a big family room connecting them. it may not sound like much but it surly is.

trevan has been going up there since junior high and i started going up there about 5 years ago. we haven't been for a few years and i was missing out. it was judakins and minie's first time. we had so much fun. it was us, brooke, dustin, minie, tiffani, and mark. mostly we just hung around but there was beach time and 4-wheeling time as well.

i love that i have a son. how cute is it that he gets obsessed with things! i have told you about his love for tractors and spongebob but now he loves bob the builder too. my favorite nephew and original son tucker got into bob the builder about 6 years ago at jude's same age. i never thought i would be singing the bob the builder theme song with so much fervor again, yet here i am!

oh how i wish i could put music to each of my posts. i am such a musical person, not musically talented but so much in love with music. really most of my post titles come from songs. i heart music. it runs rampant in my family. ask anyone.

the only song that is appropriate for this one is "zero" but the smashing pumpkins. poor dukey. all jude wanted to do was push around his stroller at nannie's house. he pushed around his balls (not those ones, pre-vert) for a while then he tried to get us to put minie in. he finally settled for duke.

nannie bought jude a splash pool for her house since it is too hot to do anything else. while brooke and i were on our way down there me favorite matey rebecca called. her husband brad is in alaksa running their fishing company and she is all by her lonesome. i feel bad we can't get together more because i love her, and her daughter ella.

rebecca and i go WAY back. we were insta-best friends from the time we were 12. we have been through a lot together, ups and downs. she is so darling and so silly. she is 9 mo pregnant with their 2nd daughter and is ready to pop any minute.

are you kidding me? is this what i have to look forward to? meet my child that turns into a demon at night! for the past week jude has been a total bear to put down at night. i really need some advice here. did i mention that he has climbed/fallen out of his crib 3x? i don't know what to do. i have thought about converting his crib into the the toddler bed but i read that he's probably not ready and definitely I AM NOT READY. he has to be my baby until i can get another one here, or at least on the way. he is only 20 months and on babycenter.com it says to wait until they are closer to 3, and that sounds much better to me. plus if i put him in a toddler bed he is free to roam and destroy his room and then he will just scream at his door instead. so i flipped his cribs shorter side towards the wall and he is stuck for the time being. HELP!!!!!!!!!

after 3 years of deliberation, trevan finally got a road bike! i am so excited for him too! my sweet husband as been riding his 10 year old mountain bike to work for the past 3 months getting all sorts of "nice bike" looks. he really has wanted one for so long and we have contemplated getting one a number of times. for his birthday this year i said that i was getting him one whether he liked on or not. i was kind of embarrassed for him to be riding his old bike (i am way more materialist than he is, sad). he fought me a little bit because we really don't have the money but not too hard because he really started looking and found the perfect bike. plus he is the best husband and he totally deserves it. so today we got him his early birthday present and i have never seen him so excited. i might be a little more excited to see him in his spandex!
